Verizon App Challenge for PWMS and WHS students

Opportunity for middle and high school teams to win up to $20K for their school and free tablets and app coding training for the team members

The Verizon Innovative App Challenge is open to teams of 5 to 7 students from middle schools or high schools. Working with a faculty advisor, teams develop an original concept for a mobile app addressing an issue or problem in their school or community. Teams submit their concepts via the website with both a video presentation and responses to an essay. Details are on the website, including steps for registering teams and submitting entries, a description of the judging process and rubric, and additional resources to assist teams in the submission process.

Registration is open now, and entries must be submitted by December 3rd.

If you are interested in pursuing this with your students please contact me and we can work together on this project!!
